Working with YSGD

Future dates announced soon
4 half-days per week
Tutors: Liz Rawlinson, Alistair Baldwin
Home, Harewood House

We’re very excited to announce that we’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced administrator to join our growing team at YSGD.   This lynchpin role will operate alongside Alistair and the tutorial team, our growing cohort of students (current, alumni and prospective) and the full roster of contributing lecturers and leading professionals across the growing suite of courses and events in the YSGD portfolio.

This will include the flagship in-person Diploma in Garden Design, the newly launched Online Diploma (starting in Jan 25), the Diploma in Planting Desing (starting in September 2025) and our growing collection of popular short courses, experiences and study tours.

You will be the main administrative contact for the school, facilitating the application and booking processes across all courses and events alongside supporting our tutor teams administratively during the delivery of courses.

You’ll help to organise events, open days, study tours and get involved with marketing and press for the school.  The role is initially part-time – 4 half days per week – but likely to increase as the school grows.  It will be predominantly home-based with occasional work at Harewood House, Leeds.  We’re looking for someone who’s had at least three years’ experience in an administrative role (within education would be a real plus), is computer literate, a people person with a positive, hardworking mindset and an interest in design.  Full job description available on request.  If you’re interested in applying, send your cv and a cover note to Eleanor.  We’re looking for the successful applicant to start as soon as they’re available.  Salary to be commensurate with experience, pension scheme available.
